WHAT IS YOUR WEATHER VIBE?

Summer (June–August)

+ Pros: Sunrise and sunset ceremonies are extra-stunning, especially if you can handle the heat.

- Cons: Daytime temperatures in the desert can exceed 100°F; high-altitude areas are cooler but may see seasonal thunderstorms (monsoon season). Rain and floods will limit travel.

Fall (September–October)

+ Pros: Comfortable daytime temps, vibrant fall colors in higher elevations like Flagstaff.

- Cons: Some popular parks can still be busy, and quick temperature drops at night require layers.

Winter (November–March)

+ Pros: Mild temps in lower desert regions, fewer tourists overall, and potential for a dusting of snow on red rocks in Sedona or the Grand Canyon’s rim—truly magical!

Legal Considerations & Permits

  • You can obtain an Arizona marriage license from any county clerk’s office. Both parties need valid photo IDs, and you must be at least 18 (16+ with parental consent).

  • National Parks & Tribal Lands: Places like Grand Canyon National Park, Monument Valley, and Antelope Canyon often require special use permits or permissions. Check each location’s official website or local tribal authority well in advance.

    State Parks: Arizona’s state parks may also have ceremony or photography permits—do your research to avoid any last-minute surprises.

  • Utah requires an authorized officiant. Make sure you have at least two witnesses over age 18. The officiant does NOT count as a witness, so if I am your officiant, you will need two other witnesses present, but regulations can vary by location—double-check local guidelines.
